Cookie & Storage Policy
Last Updated: September 28, 2026. Explaining how we use browser storage technologies and distinguishing HTTP cookies from local browser data.
1. Cookies vs. Local Web Storage (`localStorage`)
Web browsers provide multiple methods for saving information locally. It is important to distinguish between HTTP Cookies and HTML5 Web Storage (`localStorage`):
HTML5 `localStorage` (What We Use)
Used by our Save-a-Dose feature. Data stored in `localStorage` stays entirely on your browser device. It is never sent automatically to our server with HTTP web requests.
HTTP Cookies
Small text files placed on your device by web servers that transmit data back to the server with every page load. We do not use cookies for tracking core calculator tools.
2. Analytics & Third-Party Cookies
This website uses Google Analytics 4, which sets cookies on your device (including cookies such as _ga and _ga_*) to help us understand aggregate site usage — page views, session duration, and traffic sources. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which operates cookie-free and does not set any tracking cookies. Google Search Console does not set cookies on visitor devices — it's a tool we use to monitor the site's performance in Google Search and does not track individual visitors. For details on how Google uses Analytics cookie data, see Google's Privacy Policy.
3. Cookie Consent
Because this site uses Google Analytics 4, visitors from the EU/UK are shown a cookie consent banner before any analytics cookies are set, in line with GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive. You can change your choice at any time via the link in the site footer.
4. Managing & Clearing Storage
You can clear your stored dose cards at any time directly through your web browser settings by selecting "Clear Local Storage" or "Clear Browsing Data". If you have any questions regarding this Cookie Policy, please contact us via our Contact Page.
